Thank you for taking the time to fill out this application and for considering a rescued animal. The application contains many questions concerning various facets of dog/wolfdog ownership. This is so we can match potential adopters with animals they will be compatible with, and to avoid the undue stress (for you and the animal) associated with an inappropriate placement. Our first and foremost concern is what is in the best interest of the animal(s). Please be advised that completing this application does not necessarily guarantee adoption on your part.

To ensure the health, happiness, and wellbeing of the animal, we will conduct reference checks, vet checks, and home checks prior to adoption. By adopting from us, you are indicating your agreement to a lifetime commitment of love and proper care (nutrition, health, safe/humane containment, companionship, etc.) for the animal.

We do not consider any animal as "disposable” and will be happy to work with you at any time to ensure a smooth transition and continued lifetime relationship with your animal. Please be aware that all animals will go through a transition period (days, weeks, months) and that, especially with wolfdogs, this can be a very stressful time. Wolfdogs bond very strongly with their families, and when their lives are disrupted, it may take a long time and lots of love and patience to form new bonds and rebuild their trust in humans. Please be aware that your animal may need a lot of extra time, love, and patience from you and others in your household. By adopting from us you are indicating your agreement and willingness to provide this.

Most wolfdogs end up in rescue through no fault of their own; most cases can be attributed to owner ignorance and/or lack of awareness/education. We are willing to work with owners, if committed, and/or will provide education regarding wolfdog ownership at any time, if needed. By adopting from us, you are indicating that you have educated yourself about wolfdog ownership and the issues surrounding it and are open to coaching and further education by us if needed.

We reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason. We have the right to reclaim an animal following adoption if unsuitable home conditions, evidence of neglect, abuse, mistreatment, or unsafe/inhumane containment systems are found.

You are also indicating your agreement that you have answered all the questions truthfully, accurately, and to the best of your ability. By adopting, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth in the Adoption Contract.
