HUNDREDS OF IDAHO WOLVES COULD BE KILLED UNDER LEGISLATION PROPOSED THIS WEEK
February 27th: Idaho lawmakers on Tuesday introduced a bill that aims to cut Idaho’s wolf population by two-thirds and remove most hunting regulations for the animals in much of the state.
WILDLIFE PANEL SAYS TO TAKE IT SLOW ON WOLF REINTRODUCTION
February 26th: Some wildlife advocates are urging Colorado officials to streamline planning for reintroducing the gray wolf, arguing the launch of an overly bureaucratic process will frustrate the intent of voters who approved reintroduction by the end of 2023.
MONTANA SENATE COMMITTEE ADVANCES MORE WOLF BILLS
February 26th: The Montana Senate Fish and Game Committee advanced a pair of bills late Thursday evening that would allow private payments to wolf trappers and hunters as well as directing Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks to consider more aggressive means of taking the animals.

February 24th: Wisconsin’s wolf hunts will end on Feb. 24, two days after the season began on Feb. 22. In less than 24 hours, Wisconsin hunters have killed 82 of the 119 gray wolves (Canis lupus) that the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) allowed for the season.

February 15th: If you visit Yellowstone National Park, you are guaranteed to see nature in action. Sometimes you see even more nature than you anticipated. That was the case when a tour group in Yellowstone recently captured video of a wolf chewing on a very large bison bone.
